Monday, November 15, 2004
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

4001 E. Chapel Hill-Nelson Highway
Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
J2EE has become a defacto standard for building multi-tier
applications, but
finding the bottleneck in J2EE Applications and scaling to the limit is
a very
complex task. In this session we will discuss how to identify the
problems in
different tiers of J2EE Application and how you can tune your
applications and
the application server to achieve high performance. We will provide
guidelines
to achieve high performance and scalability for your applications.
Jon Maron has worked with middleware and application server technology
for the
last decade, both as a professional consultant and as a product
architect. He
has implemented multiple subsystems in J2EE, including EJB and JDBC. He
has
served on multiple standards bodies in the Java Community Process
including
J2EE and EJB. Jon is currently a principal product manager at Oracle
Corporation focused on Web Services.
Jon is also the co-author of Java
Transaction Processing: Design and Implementation, Prentice Hall,
2004.
